Year 9 Integrated Arts (Visual Arts)

Students have investigated the concept of ‘chiaroscuro’ as part of an inquiry into the power of light. In Visual Art they have created images using ‘low tech’ cameras and lighting in their home environments and then manipulated these to create distortions using Photoshop software. The students will now connect their learning between Visual Arts and Media by transferring these concepts into film, with a focus on the genre of horror. Some examples are here
