Making a difference by planting trees
8 dedicated students trekked out to Lantau to plant trees with Paul Melsom from Eagle Owl during the last CPD Day on 14 May.
The students did a fantastic job planting around 30 native tree seedlings.
Some of the tree seedlings, Polyspora axillaris, that were planted were grown from seeds at school by students from the Year 10 and Year 11 horticultural enrichment classes. This project continues to be a really good way to make a difference where the combined contribution of a number of year groups will make a lasting impression on Lantau’s forest ecosystem. A big thank you to Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden for supplying additional diverse native tree species seedlings.
