Journalism Ethics Presentation – Eric Wishart

Eric Wishart, former AFP editor-in-chief came in to speak to Year 12 TOK students last week. His thought-provoking presentation explored journalism ethics in the era of fake news and social media. Students learned about AFP’s code of ethics and about the work that they do with organisations such as Facebook to fact check stories that appear on the platform. There were lots of TOK links and plenty of interesting discussion points. We are very grateful to Eric for giving up his time and sharing his expertise with us.
