IB Cross-Curricular Trip to Woodside Biodiversity Centre
The ESS and Geography students shared the common theme of biodiversity in Hong Kong for their trip to the Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre on Wednesday. Students not only looked at the importance of conserving local animals and plants, but they were also given a hands-on demonstration of local biodiversity experiencing through a series of fauna. Students were able to observe specimens and explore the strategies of animals and plants in Hong Kong in various ecological habitats and the threats they are facing. A lively presentation, guided tour and exhibition were all part of the trip. It is a great opportunity for our IB students to bring their classroom work to foster knowledge and understanding of their own surroundings.
