Hong Kong Public Libraries e-Resources
The Hong Kong Public Libraries provide a wide range of high quality e-Resources that our students can access remotely from school or at home. Please visit Library Website here.
On the top of the resources that we provide in school, the LRC would like to maximize the chance of our students for accessing a diversity of credible resources. This can support their research work and learning in various subject areas and at different levels (from Year 7 to Year 13), especially the access to e-Resources.
Students are recommended to apply for a HKPL card/account, if they do not already have one, to enjoy the free community resources at no cost with permanent validity. Parents may apply for the card at any one of the Public Libraries with the required documents for their children and the card can be issued immediately. Click to see the application form & details.
The students will be guided to use the e-Resources from SIS as well as the HK Public Libraries (if they have an account) for various research tasks. Relevant links are embedded in the school resources platform (VLE) for different subject areas.
The LRC is helping all the Year 7 students to process the cards and the applications are being collected now. If students in other year groups would like us to process the NEW application on their behalf, they can see me in LRC. An application form and guidance will be provided. The deadline is 9th Oct. For a replacement card, parents/students have to go to the HKPL in person.
