Global Climate Change Talk by Dr. Kevin Rees from Swansea University
On 25 October, South Island school welcomed back Dr Kevin Rees from Swansea university who returned to deliver two lectures for our more senior students. Both ESS and Geography IB students were given a very interesting lecture on global climate change where first hand research from world leading scholars was presented to our audience. For the second lecture, Dr Rees spoke about Hong Kong migration to Vancouver, Canada. This was a specialist Geography lecture delivered to our year 12 IB students and it proved to be both thought provoking and informative. The Geography department would like to express its gratitude for the time Dr. Rees spent with our students.
