Family Bauhinia MaD Week
The Family Bauhinia MaD week was held from Monday December 14 – Friday December 18th. The week was planned to raise awareness of the importance of eye health and the wonderful work being done by ORBIS who provide eye care services to those less fortunate than us. Our Family Bauhinia MaD council and social teams, consisting of students from each tutor group, planned the amazing week.
We have had games and activities at lunch times, a very successful read-a-thon celebration and the culminating Talent Show. It was a great week and a great way to end the term. “I would like to send my sincere thanks for your support in Y7 and Y8 Read-a-thon. The students made a great achievement this year. They raised HK$49,165 in total to support ORBIS in their work of saving eyesight worldwide and read 1,044 books in the past 4 weeks. Through the program, they made a difference by exploring new book genres, applying new skills, inspiring others and helping the needy people in a wider community.” — Ms Betty Ow
