CALLING ALL SIS CHEFS!!!
Firstly – Welcome back to this year’s competition! We have a new name, this is because we wanted to bring ownership back to South Island students, so…..
SIS CHEF is back and it’s bigger and better than ever…we are hoping that this is your year to cook up a storm!
So, what do you have to do to be a part of this incredible event? Your first step is to enter our first round challenge which is completed in the comfort of your own kitchen at home.
And what do you have to make? This year our first round challenge is to re-invent the mashed potato! We’re asking you to create a delectable, delicious dish from the humble mashed potato.
The mashed potato dish must:

Be made of real potato – not instant mash!

Be a savoury dish – not a dessert!

Have mashed potato as one of the main elements of the dish.

Be creative, innovative and appetising.

Be well presented
-
Be shown on a clear photograph
If you are in year 7-9, you will be cooking in pairs. Year 10-13 will be cooking individually.
5 simple steps to enter SIS Chef…

Download and print the attached entry form here or collect a printed version from the folder on the door of the Food Tech room (S22).

Fill out the entry form with your details.

Be inventive, be creative and get cooking your mashed potato dish!

Take a photo of your masterpiece and glue it onto the entry form. Write 100-200 words (including a brief description of your recipe) and explain why you are applying to be part of this event.

Place a your paper entry form in the box at reception by the 1st of December – This is the deadline – no extensions!
House points are awarded for every entry.
