SIS Open Day
We are delighted to announce the date of our 2016 OPEN DAY as Wednesday 21st September. The School will be open for visitors from 8.30 to 1.15 and the programme for the day is – business as usual!
OPEN DAY is a wonderful opportunity for prospective and existing parents to take a look at the workings of our School on a ‘normal’ day. We don’t put on any special presentations or special lessons, it is just a routine Wednesday morning with a chance for parents to walk around, either with Student Guides or on their own. We will have refreshments available and there is a chance to mingle with teachers, including members of the School Leadership Team.
Whether you are a Primary 6 (or a future Primary 6) Parent or an existing SIS Parent, we would love to welcome you. Visit lessons that you used to enjoy as a student, pay a visit to your child(ren), have a cup of tea with teachers and other visitors…it is always a lovely day at SIS and our students are always very excited to see our visitors!

SCMP Young Post on 21 August featured Alric Lam (9S1) from South Island School. The 13-year-old football goalkeeper is a member of the Arsenal Soccer School team. He took part in the Nike 5 Cup tournament last April and won the most valuable player award. Visit 
Please note that only authorised bus users are allowed on the school bus. All authorised bus users MUST HAVE a valid bus pass. If your child does not have a bus pass, please ask your child to go to the PTA office with a photo and $10 to get a replacement. Students without a bus pass will not be allowed to travel on the school bus.

This year, we are introducing our new Multi Sports programme, which is a development programme for ages 2-5 in building skills and abilities to better position themselves in entering a specialist sport(s). We are looking for donations for the Raffle. Examples of prizes on offer from our 2014 raffle: I.T. gift vouchers, Beats headphones, X-Box, dining vouchers and so many more! Cash donations are also welcome. This will allow the PTA to purchase additional raffle prizes. Please ensure the gifts are new and in good condition and the vouchers should be valid until 30 June 2017 or after. Please include your name, your child’s name and class number with the donated item.If you would like to sponsor a raffle prize, please email the PTA at
